Hi all. I manage SEO for a local pet grooming business and we’re struggling with visibility in the map pack. The Google Business Profile is fully filled out (I think?), but we're still stuck below competitors.
We've got good reviews, added photos, posts, all that. I'm starting to wonder if there’s some technical stuff or overlooked elements in bp optimization that I’m missing. Any suggestions or resources that go beyond the obvious?
I had nearly the same issue with a chiropractor client. Everything looked fine on the surface, but we weren’t ranking until I realized we were missing some of the “under the hood” optimization steps — things like primary category conflicts, poor keyword matching in services, and even incomplete business hours.
I found this awesome guide packed with local SEO tips and hidden GBP tweaks: https://www.seo-bazooka.com/how-to-optimize-google-business-profile-for-local-seo-complete-guide/ — it covers stuff most blogs don’t even touch on, like geo-tagging images and review prompts. Totally changed our performance in local search.
